Pregnant? Enjoy These Homemade Ice Creams This Summer!

A very big welcome to all pregnant mothers living in Cardiff! Finally, the summer season is officially here to blow our minds! If you are pregnant then, of course, you are dealing with a lot and craving for a drink. But, wait for a second! You are not supposed to even have a drop of alcohol during pregnancy and after childbirth. 

I love making ice creams at home during the summer season to beat the heat. As a pregnant woman, I have to be cautious about what I consume so I avoid buying and eating ice creams from stores as they cost so much and are absolutely not healthy. Since it’s so hot nowadays, you can now make easy homemade ice creams during pregnancy with just a few ingredients to enjoy summer. 

So, let’s take a quick look at some of the best homemade ice cream recipes you can easily make during pregnancy. 

Oreo Ice Cream 

This is my absolute favourite! Here’s the recipe for Oreo Ice Cream.

Ingredients:

  • 12-15 crushed Oreo biscuits

  • Condensed milk – 1 full can

  • Chilled whipped heavy cream – 2 cups

Method:

  • Add 2 cups of chilled whipped heavy cream to a bowl. 

  • Then add 1 full can of condensed milk to the mixture.

  • Whisk the mixture properly.

  • Add crushed Oreo biscuits into the bowl.

  • Stir the mixture slowly and properly.

  • Transfer the mixture to the freezing bowl. Freeze for 6-8 hours.

  • Enjoy! ☺️

Banana Ice Cream 

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 ripe bananas

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 3 tbsps honey

  • Nuts for garnish

Method:

  • Peel and slice the bananas properly. Freeze the slices inside a ziplock bag for 3-4 hours. 

  • Blend the hard banana slices into a thick paste. Do not add any water or milk while blending them. 

  • Add 1 tsp vanilla extract and 3 tbsp honey to the blended mixture. Blend again till it turns into a smooth texture. 

  • Transfer the mixture into a freezing bowl or container and freeze for 4-6 hours.

  • Garnish the ice cream with your favourite nuts and enjoy! ☺️

Peanut Butter Ice Cream 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup peanut butter

  • 1 can condensed milk

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method:

  • Take a blending jar, add 1 cup peanut butter, 1 can condensed milk, 1 cup heavy whipping cream, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. 

  • Blend property until you get a smooth and thick mixture. 

  • Take the mixture out on an airtight container and freeze for at least 5-6 hours. 

  • Enjoy!! 😋
